Alice Jane Reavy, a cherished mother and grandmother, a beloved member of the community, and a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. Born on November 5, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Henry and Bertha Bassett, Alice was a compassionate soul who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Alice dedicated her life to serving others as a cafeteria worker at Cornwells Elementary, where she brightened the days of students and staff alike with her kindness and warm smile. Her work ethic and positive demeanor endeared her to all who crossed her path.
In her free time, Alice was an active member of the American Legion and the VFW Post 6393 Ladies Auxiliary in Yardley, PA. She found joy in simple pleasures like watching movies, vacationing in the mountains, and, above all, spending precious moments with her family, including her sons John Reavy (April) and Robert Reavy (Karen), and cherished grandchildren Hannah, Erin, Julia, and Sean. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Reavy and her son, Charles A. Reavy.
Alice will be remembered for her caring nature, unwavering loyalty, and the love she generously shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Alice Jane Reavy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to have called her mother, grandmother, friend, and fellow Marine. May she rest in eternal peace.
