Amy A. Gillen

December 6, 1974 — November 24, 2021

Amy A. Gillen, of Philadelphia, passed away on November 24th at Jefferson Hospital. She was just 46 years old. Amy worked as a product manager for PEI Genesis for over 11 years. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, John Gillen, her daughter, Ashley Gillen, her mother, Debra Ouellet, her step dad, Robin Ouellet, her brother, Mark Comfort, and more. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19154 on Thursday, December 2nd from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery on Hulmeville Rd. which will then be followed by a lunch at Nick’s Roast Beef on Woodhaven Rd. Anyone who knew Amy, either from work, family, or family friends, you will know how much she lit up every room she walked into. She always had a smile on her face and could make anyone laugh on a hard day. Her daughter, Ashley Gillen, will never forget the best times, laughing with her mom, calling her everyday at work, and the daily drives to pick Amy up from work after a long day. Her husband, John Gillen, will never forget the relaxing yet fun fishing trips in Wildwood, where they would sit with the rod in the water talking for hours. Her brother, Mark Comfort, will never forget the yearly trips to Texas, especially the most recent one, when Amy was terrified to go horseback riding, and her horse parked her right next to the wall as soon as she got on. That horse was not having it that day. Her mom, Debbie Ouellet, will never forget making Christmas Cookies in the kitchen and her and Amy’s daily shopping trips at Christmas time. Amy was an amazing person who left an impact on everyone she crossed paths with. She will be forever remembered and loved in our hearts. Rest in Peace Amy, gone but never forgotten.
