Annette Marie La Bate

September 26, 1942 — August 8, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Marie La Bate, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, who left us on August 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 26, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Damiano and Caroline (nee Rich) Criniti. Annette touched the lives of many through her unwavering dedication to teaching and her compassionate spirit.

Annette devoted over 50 years of her life to inspiring young minds as a piano teacher. Her love for music extended beyond the classroom, as she shared her talents by playing the organ at her local church. Annette’s passion for nurturing and encouraging children was evident in her work as a Girl Scout and Brownie troop leader, where she instilled values of friendship, kindness, and creativity in her young charges.

In addition to her musical and educational pursuits, Annette was an avid artist, expressing her creativity through her art. She found joy in every brushstroke and shared this joy with those around her.

Annette was also an avid reader and loved books. She was always seen with a book in her hand, and her home was filled with bookshelves in every room and most of them on natural healing, healthy nutrition or spiritual pursuits.

Annette was also a Reiki Healer and Reiki Master Instructor for over 20 years and taught many other adults who became Reiki Healers. She was very passionate about natural healing as she came from a long line of natural healers and midwives.

Annette is survived by her three loving children: Thomas La Bate (Rosanne), Dorothy Welsh (Ed), and Linda Capobianco (Ron). She will be deeply missed by her 4 grandchildren, Shaun La Bate, Dean Welsh, Miranda Michaud (Brian), and Dana La Bate (Bobby), as well as her Great-Granddaughter Vera; who all brought immeasurable joy to her life. Annette was preceded in death by her parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday August 15, 2025 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Annette’s life at 12 PM. Interment will be private.

Annette Marie La Bate’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace. www.tomlinsonfh.com
