Anthony J. Roccia

Anthony Joseph Roccia, of Bensalem, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 on his and his bride’s 67th wedding anniversary, at St. Mary Medical Center at the age of 84. Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Susan (Falco) and Nicholas Roccia, Anthony has been a resident of Bensalem for over 55 years.

Tony was extremely handy and always did his own work around the house and was often found repairing things for friends and neighbors in his garage. He was hardworking and dedicated which lead to a successful career as a welder with UAW Local #56 for over 30 years. In his free time, “Rock” as he was affectionately known by many, admired Corvette’s and loved listening to U2 and Journey. Tony was also a great storyteller and animal lover.

At 17, Tony married the love of his life, Dolores V. (Thompson). They enjoyed a beautiful life together and displayed the perfect example of “true love”!

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores and his 2 children Colleen Logue (Harry Bose) and Anthony J. (Mona) Roccia. He was the cherished grandfather of Barry, Matthew, Timothy, and the late Carly Logue, Sara Micklas, Anthony J. Jr and Sophia Roccia; and great grandfather of Mason, Grayson, Josephine, Brynnlee, Dean, Madilynn, Roman and one on the way.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5340 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anthony’s name made to the Women’s Humane Society, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
