Arthur Sheridan

Arthur Sheridan passed away peacefully on Friday August 28, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 11, 1944, in Port Chester, NY to the late Margaret (Duncan) and Henry W. Sheridan. Arthur made a lasting impact on the lives of those around him throughout his remarkable journey.

Arthur dedicated his professional life to accounting, where he was known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering integrity. He spent many years in the accounting industry and later as a small business owner, earning the respect of both colleagues and clients alike.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Arthur was a man of many passions. He found joy in collecting model trucks & elephants. His love for woodworking complemented his handy nature, as he took great pleasure in fixing and building projects around the house. A devoted community member, Arthur invested his time in the Girl and Boy Scouts, as well as Sea Scouts sharing his skills and values with the next generation. He also cherished his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, where he formed lasting friendships through shared faith and service. 

Arthur is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Elizabeth (Karawan) Sheridan; their sons Donald Sheridan (Dawn), Michael Sheridan (Aimee), and their daughter Lesley Ripley (Joe). He is also survived by his brother, Robert Sheridan. Arthur will be deeply missed by his nine cherished grandchildren. His unconditional love and wisdom will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Arthur was preceded in death by his siblings Margaret Schollmann, William, and Joseph Sheridan.
