With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Augustine V. Mellace Jr., a beloved musician and devoted family man. Augustine, born on February 21, 1943, to Augustine Sr. and Josephine Mellace, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed this world on September 4, 2024.

Augustine, known for his passion for music and entertainment, delighted audiences with his musical talents. Throughout his career, he graced the hearts of many and shared his love for music with the world. Augustine's unwavering dedication was evident in his 25 years of service on the Tech Team at Langhorne Presbyterian Church, where he poured his heart into each church service. Augustine served his community as a Philadelphia Police Officer, owned his own bakery, and worked as a plumber.

A proud husband, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, Augustine cherished his family above all else. He leaves behind his loving spouse, Barbara Mellace, his children Karen DiMeglio (Steve), Vincent Mellace (Jennifer), Pamela D'Ambrosio (Tony), Joe Mellace, Tracey Dailey, Kelly Hayzlip (Chris), Scott Wimmersberger (Megan), and Sandra Zimmerman (Ryan), his 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, his sister Elizabeth Mancuso, and many nieces and nephews.
