Augustine Anthony Emilio Salvitti, of Warrington, PA (formerly of Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, NJ) passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 92 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Philip and Mary (Rossi) Salvitti, he was preceded in death by his brothers Angelo and Vincent and recently in December of 2021, by his loving wife of 65 years, Jennie (Trojan). Throughout his life, Augie exemplified the spirit of an entrepreneur, owning and operating various successful businesses. He was the proud founder of Print Masters in Bensalem, a TCBY in Cherry Hill, NJ, and Trojan Liquors and Fine wines, also in New Jersey. He worked as a mortgage broker and had a successful construction company, as well. Additionally, Augustine proudly served as the past Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia during which time he created and built the Gallery Marketplace in center city. His dedication to his community knew no bounds. Augustine was an active member of the Sons of Italy and was the Past President of the Bensalem Twp Chamber of Commerce. Augustine's commitment to his country was also evident in his service as a veteran of the United States Navy. As a Naval Airman in the Korean war, he served his country for five years, ultimately receiving a Purple Heart medal. Throughout his life, he remained involved in various VFW's and American Legions, honoring his fellow servicemen and women. Augustine's compassion extended beyond his businesses and community involvement. He was a proud supporter of the Kidney Foundation of SE Pennsylvania, Boys Town and St. Francis of Atonement, recognizing the importance of helping those in need. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Linda Fusco (Anthony, Jr) and Diane Sawyer (Robert), as well as his 6 adoring grandchildren: Carissa Fales (Ryan), Katina Cooney (Brendan), Nicholas Fox, Matthew Sawyer (fiancé Courtney), Christina Fusco, and Valerie Fusco. He also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren, Cooper, Casey, and Chloe Fales. His family is comforted knowing that after a long and happy life, he has been reunited with his wife to enjoy the promises of Heaven. Augustine's loving presence will continue to be cherished by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Monday, October 16, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Saint Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Rd, Rydal, PA 19046, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
