Barbara H. Boehmer

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Barbara H. Boehmer, who left us on July 31, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on August 9, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (nee McElhenney) Wilson, Barbara lived a life deeply rooted in her devotion to God and her unwavering love for her family.

Barbara was a devoted homemaker who cherished her role in nurturing her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her greatest joy came from being a loving grandmother to Tara (Jarret), Shannon, Madison (James), Logan, Jackson, Brennan, Elizabeth (Camden) and Ian. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, always encouraging their growth and celebrating their accomplishments.

In addition to her grandchildren, Barbara is survived by her son William J. Bustard Jr. (Brenda), her daughter Barbara Barras (Timothy),daughter Heather Mills (Shawn Vartan), sister Mary Bustard (Robert), brother John Wilson (Eileen). Each loved one remembers Barbara for her unwavering support, gentle spirit, and infectious laughter. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William J. Bustard Sr. and Jackson Boehmer, as well as her siblings, Caroline Flowers (the late James), Thomas Wilson Jr. (the late Shirley), Jane Wilson and grandson William J Bustard III.

An avid enthusiast of coin collecting, crosswords, Sudoku, and puzzles, Barbara also found joy in the camaraderie of her friends at the Orange Home, where she created lasting memories and friendships. Her dedication to her hobbies was a testament to her vibrant personality and zest for life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Wednesday, August 5th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.

In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Barbara touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those she loved.
