Barbara L. Chilcote (Bowker)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara L. Chilcote, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 31, 1952, in Abington, Pennsylvania, to Gloria (nee Reed) and the late Robert Bowker, Barbara spent her life brightening the days of those around her with her infectious enthusiasm and warmth.

Barbara was a dedicated bartender at the Bensalem Township Citizens Club, where her lively spirit and genuine kindness fostered connections and friendships. Her passion extended beyond her work; she cherished hosting Halloween parties, delighting in celebrations that brought people together in laughter and joy. She had a knack for thrifting, finding treasures that added character to her home, and she loved gardening, nurturing both plants and relationships with the same care. An avid fan of "Harry Potter" and "Stranger Things," Barbara was known for her playful and imaginative spirit that resonated through her interests and activities.

Family was at the core of Barbara's life. She is survived by her loving sons, Chad Chilcote (Denyse), Shawn Chilcote, and Bradford Chilcote. Barbara also leaves behind beloved father, Raymond Scudder, her dear sister, Carrie Schweitzer, and brother, Raymond Scudder, along with her cherished grandchildren, Stephan and Alec Chilcote. Her beloved dogs, Odin and Isis, were constant companions, offering her joyful moments and unconditional love. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Kelly F. Chilcote.
