Barbara Ellen Taylor

Barbara Ellen Taylor, a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and friend, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024, in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Born on December 3, 1933, Barbara lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family.

Barbara found joy in the simple things in life, she was a loyal member of the Kensington Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and shared many memorable moments. She had a passion for reading, with authors James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell being among her favorites. Barbara's love for adventure led her to thrift stores, Goodwill, and flea markets, where she would hunt for unique treasures. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found solace in attending Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Vidra, devoted son Edward Taylor (Zofia), beloved sister Sally Woods, and her cherished grandchildren Sarah Sizemore Timothy), Bryan Vidra, Edward Taylor (Kelley), and Andrew Taylor (Courtney) and great grandchildren, James Taylor, Edward A. Taylor Jr., Bailley Sizemore, and Brooklyn Sizemore.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Tomlinson Funeral Home on March 21, 2024, at 7:00 pm, with a public viewing preceding at 6:00 pm. Interment will be private.

Barbara's kindness, warmth, and endearing spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing and may she rest in eternal peace.
