Bernard George Kocher

Bernard "Bernie" "Sonny" G. Kocher of Croydon passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old. Born in Nazareth, PA to the late George and Lillian (Eddinger) Kocher and was a resident of Croydon for the last 65 years. Bernie worked for Sabatini Concrete Pipe for many years as a Plant Manager until his retirement. He was a proud US Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict on the USS General George M. Randall troop transport ship. Bernie enjoyed caring for his home and will be deeply missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his wives, Maryanne (Gavin) and Josephine (Piccillo) Kocher. Berine will be deeply missed by his children, William G. Kocher (Barbara), Kathryn Darr (Harry) and Paul Ballister (Brandy). He is also survived by his siblings: Betty Kline, Tim (Debbie), Jeff (Paulette) and Brad Kocher; 10 grandchildren: Kim (Andrew), Heather (Rob), Billy (Laine), Kate (Paul), Julia (Dave), Theresa, Rebekah (Tom), Bernadette (Kyle), Floyd (Ashely) and Samantha (Justin); 18 great grandchildren and many loving family and friends. Bernie was preceded in death by his children, Bernie and Bethann Kocher; His step-mother, Irene Kocher; His grandson, Matthew Ritterson and his best friend "Uncle Reds".
