C. Joseph Venuto of Langhorne passed away Wednesday August 18, 2021 at Attleboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was 98 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Joseph was a resident of Langhorne for the last 30 years and was formerly of Philadelphia. He was a proud US Army Veteran of WWII, 291st Infantry Regiment with the 75th Infantry Division. His military decorations include the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Joseph was a member of the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club and was an avid mineral rock collector. He was a graduate of City College of NY and earned his Masters degree at Harvard University. Joseph worked as a Scientist for Electric Storage Batteries and then later with C&D Battery for many years before retiring in 1985. He worked on designing batteries for electric vehicles. Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years Anne S. (Schnurr). He will be sadly missed by his three loving children: Anne M. Corwin (David), John J. (Mary) and Joseph C. Venuto (Carol). Joseph is also survived by his sisters: Terry Peters and Eleanor Nystrom; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucy and Andrew Venuto. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Monday from 10 to 11 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass at 11 AM.
