Candace Kay Forry

Candace “Candy” Kay Forry (née Martin), of Holland, PA, passed away
on May 19, 2022. She was 69 years old.

Candy was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on November 14, 1952 to the
late Herbert and Hazel Martin. She grew up at the Mink Pond Club in
Bushkill, PA, where her parents were the caretakers. She graduated
from East Stroudsburg High School in 1970 and Mansfield University in
1974.

Candy worked for Pocono Medical Center for around 40 years before
her retirement, most recently as the Medical Staff Coordinator. In her
free time, she enjoyed knitting, studying scripture, and serving as the
assistant to the pastor of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her
favorite hobby was spending time with her granddaughter and “special
buddy,” Hannah Lawfer, who always made her Nana smile.

In addition to her parents, Candy was predeceased by her beloved
husband of 36 years, Thomas Forry, in 2015. Candy will be deeply
missed by her daughter, Kristen Lawfer (Joshua), her granddaughter,
Hannah Lawfer, and her sister Deborah Chamberlin (James).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at Holy Cross
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth, PA 18064
on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again on
Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by her service
at 11:00. A second memorial service in Holland, PA will be announced
shortly. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that donations be made in Candy’s memory to Holy Cross Evangelical
Lutheran Church at the address above.
