Cardell Howard was born on May 12th, 1953 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Ocie L. and Mary Lee Howard. He was one of thirteen children. The family moved to Trevose, PA in 1955, where he grew up and lived until his passing. He attended and graduated from Bensalem High School and Bucks County Technical School in 1972 majoring in Commercial and Graphic Arts & Printing. He loved drawing and painting and was great at it. He won several art contests in his life, two of which that come to mind was a contest at RCA in New Jersey submitted by one of our neighbors who worked there. The other contest that he won was at the Bucks County Technical School when he was student there. His drawing won the contest and was selected as the County Technical School’s official Christmas card that year. Cardell was previously employed by Betz Labs, Allied Tube & Conduit. He also worked at Central Bucks Lawn Service where he did the lawn of the Second Baptist Church of Doylestown among other places in the Central Bucks County area. After leaving Central Bucks Lawn Service, Cardell and his brother Nathaniel were doing free lance Lawn Service in the neighborhood until his sudden passing. His hobbies were drawing, painting and planting and tending flower beds. He was such a friendly and easy going person. He had a kind heart and nice rapport with many people in the neighborhood. He has one son Cardell Kiwan Howard of Bensalem, PA. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Jesse, Robert, Floyd and Alphonse Howard. He leaves to mourn four brothers: David Howard (Joyce), Nathaniel Howard of Trevose, PA., James Howard (Janice) of Virginia Beach, VA., Rozell Howard of Doylestown, PA. Four Sisters: Geraldine Lord, Palastine Bussey (Terry) of Trevose, PA., Lois Jones of Doylestown, PA and Odester Brumsey of Virginia Beach, VA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Saturday from 9 to 11 AM at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 4300 Somerton Rd., Trevose, PA, PA 19053, followed by his Service at 11 AM. Interment White Chapel Memorial Park.
