Caroline Dorothy Mclean

C. Dorothy Schaumberg McLean (nee Oberholtzer) Dorothy was born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, PA on September 20, 1918. She lived in Philadelphia for 21 years, Andalusia for 33, Feasterville for 27 years before moving to Bristol. Dorothy went home to be with her Lord on July 28, 2021. She loved history and learning about local historic sites. Her research and writings were published by the Historical Society of Bensalem in the Traveling Through Bensalem book set. Dorothy was a Sunday school teacher for 32 years and has been in touch with her many friends of the Lehigh Ave Baptist Church, Young People's Society. Dorothy had a lovely collection of dolls and also had a hobby of making scrapbooks including books detailing her life in the 20’s and 30’s, books on family genealogy, Bensalem township history, and books for weddings and family special events. She is survived by her daughter P. Lynn Heidler and her husband Bob, as well as her daughter in law Carol Ann Schaumberg. Grandchildren: Jason Schaumberg and his wife Cindy, Marc Schaumberg and his wife Cathleen, Paul Heidler and his wife Cassandra, Vanessa Gallion and her husband Paul. Great grandchildren, Hailey Schaumberg, Megan Schaumberg, Peter Gallion, Daniel Gallion, Madeline Gallion, Scarlette Heidler and Dakota Amos-Schaumberg. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Schaumberg Sr. and Aleck Mclean, her son P. “Leslie” Schaumberg, her brother J. George Oberholtzer, two sisters R. Marie Bensol, and L. Katharine Zepp, Sister-In-Law's Irene Oberholtzer, Vi Ryner and Thelma Schaumberg. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Tuesday August 3rd from 10:00-11:00 AM followed be her service at 11:00 AM at Neshaminy Valley Baptist Church, 2895 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Andalusia, 1041 Colonial Avenue, Bensalem PA 19020 or Neshaminy Baptist Church, 2895 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
