Carolyn M. Brown

July 1, 1951 — March 30, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn M. Brown, who peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Carolyn was born in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Hassell (McFerran) and Audie W. Brown and was a resident of Bristol, PA for the last 5 years and was formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico.


Throughout her life, Carolyn demonstrated a profound passion for genealogy and was a dedicated member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Lew Wallace chapter in Albuquerque, where she served as National Vice Chairman, Lew Wallace Chapter Regent, State Chaplain, Registrar, Historian, Parliamentarian, and various other committees. Her commitment to family and faith was exemplified by her active participation in the Neshaminy Valley Baptist Church, where she found solace and community.


Carolyn was a graduate of Gallup High School in New Mexico. She then continued her education at the University of New Mexico, achieving a bachelor’s degree. Carolyn brought her intellect and skill to her role as a bookkeeper in the construction and real estate industry, serving diligently at Ashcraft Construction & Real Estate for over 35 years.


In her leisure time, Carolyn found joy in the pages of history books, sharing her wealth of knowledge with those around her. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.


Carolyn's memory will be cherished by her loving son, Trent Burton (Elizabeth), devoted brother, Wayne Brown (Sue), as well as her grandchildren, Mason Burton and Anastasia Grimmer. Also touching her life and was just like a sister, her best friend Martha Morrow of Santa Fe. Her legacy of kindness, wisdom, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
