It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Henry Chilton Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on May 1, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on November 12, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles and Theresa (nee Ricco) Chilton.

Charles had many careers in his life, but, lived for game days, race tracks, and the joy of a good laugh. His unwavering loyalty to the Eagles, Phillies, and the high-speed world of NASCAR was matched only by his quick wit and love for telling a great story. Spirited and easygoing, Charles reminded us that life is best measured by the thrill of the finish line and the stories we share along the way.

Charles was raised in a family that valued love and hard work. He served his country in the Army reflecting his strong commitment to community and friendship, values he carried throughout his life.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Chilton, and his treasured children: Allicia Leaper (Jared), Tiffany Poeppelman (Brandon), Christina Lynn and his stepchildren Tabitha Mc Coy and Jerry Dupell as well as his grandchildren, Brittany Myers, James Kane, Anthony Chilton, Dylan Piechoski, Olivia Leaper, Knox Leaper, Brody Curran, Chris Drexheimer, Daniel Lynn, Kenneth Lynn, Hunter Hotzman, Mason Hotzman, Cheyenne Hotzman, Payton Poeppelman, and Daxton Poeppelman, and his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Myers, Weston Piechoski. He is also mourned by his sister, Debra Sniger (Leo). Charles leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Curran.

A former member of the Feasterville Fire Company, Charles was known for his unwavering spirit and commitment to helping others, becoming a pillar of the community. He approached life with a compassionate heart, and his presence will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center in Charles’s name.

We will carry Charles’s memory in our hearts as we remember his kindness, laughter, and the culinary delights he shared with us all.
