Charles William Davidson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles William Davidson Jr., who peacefully departed this life on February 24, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on May 12, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles William, Sr. and Eva Davidson, Charles was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cherished friend, and a devoted member of the community. Residing in Bensalem, PA, he touched the hearts of many with his warm spirit and genuine nature.


Charles earned his High School Diploma and spent many years as a dedicated manager and owner, working for C&R Family Foods and Thriftway, where he was known for his strong work ethic and leadership. Beyond his professional life, Charles was a passionate musician, playing both guitar and piano in a band, where his love for music brought joy to not only himself but also to those around him.


Charles had a zest for life that included his fondness for visiting Parx Casino, traveling to Disney World with his family, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially in the realm of baseball. His adventures and stories will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.


He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Lisa Engle (John), Deborah Davidson, Diane Julian (John), Lisa Tranausky (Joshua), Tommy Baldt, Joe Baldt (Linda), Elizabeth Fessler (Wayne), and Tim Baldt, grandchildren, Tiffany Davidson, Benjamin Engle (Alexandra), Lauren Julian, Kristen Julian, Michael Senick (Bridget), Ryan Senick (Josephine), Nicholas Senick, Gary Baldt (Carly), Melissa Snowden (Vince), Sherry Markley, Barbara Markley, Belinda Kozlowski (William), Joey Baldt (Kelly), James Russell (Annemarie), Matt Jazlowski (Denise), Frank Jazlowski, Nicole Baldt, and Christina Baldt, as well as his great grandchildren, Gage, Juliette, Charlie, Colton, Mavis, Daisy, Crew, Stephen, and Vaeda, his sister in law, Helen Thompson (the late Edward), and his niece, Natalie. Their lives are a testament to the love and guidance Charles imparted. Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth and his children, Ruth Ann Markley and Steven Baldt.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend Charles’ visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Friday, February 28th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by his service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.


In life, Charles embraced every moment, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those he loved. We invite all who knew him to come together to pay their respects and to celebrate a remarkable life well lived.
