It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles William Radetzky of Bensalem, affectionately known as Bill, who left this world on Saturday August 9, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 25, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Mildred (Kelly) and Alfred Radetzky.
He was a graduate of Father Judge High School, Class of 1965. After high school, Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, exemplifying courage and commitment that extended beyond his service. Throughout his life, he embodied love, laughter, and generosity. He was a great listener, excellent mentor, and would give the shirt off his back for those he loved.
An accomplished manager in the telecommunications industry, Bill dedicated much of his career to Bell Telephone and Verizon, where he was known for his commitment to promoting and advancing telecommunications technology. He was also known to pull a prank or two on his colleagues. Outside of work, Bill's passions were varied. He loved life, and he dabbled in a little of everything from hunting to gardening; playing wallyball; learning Karate, taking camping trips and traveling. Bill was also an avid collector of rocks and mineral, and he was the family historian for the Radetzky’s and Mirsadschan’s. He loved learning and researching his ancestors.
Bill’s greatest joy, however, came from his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved, Tamara (Tammy Mirsadschan). Bill leaves behind his beloved children: William Radetzky and Kristie Radetzky (John Piorkowski), who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His granddaughters, Rhiannon Radetzky, Katya and Amelie Kopylkova, along with his great-granddaughter, Chloe Flowers, were the lights of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Bill also shared a special bond with his sister Joan Desmond (The late Pete) and brother James Radetzky (Diane), and many other loving family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen Press.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday August 19, 2025, from 1 to 2 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 2 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation (See donation link at the bottom of the page). www.tomlinsonfh.com
In remembering Bill, let us celebrate his generous spirit, his love for family traditions, and the joy he brought to our lives. He will be truly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
