Charles Louis Scavetti

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Louis Scavetti, who left this world on December 21, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 10, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, to Isabel (nee Brown) and Charles Julius Scavetti, Charles was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Rosemarie Scavetti, as well as his stepson, Kevin Trolene (Melissa). Charles was preceded in death by his loving parents, and his sister, Charlotte Dobson.

Charles was an accomplished entrepreneur with a lifelong dedication to the newspaper industry, having proudly worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer. A graduate with an Associate's Degree, he carried his educational values into his career and life, always seeking to learn and grow.

Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army, which instilled in him a sense of duty and pride that stayed with him throughout his life.

Charles found immense joy in the thrill of horse racing. He was also a loving pet owner, whose bond with his animals brought him immense happiness and comfort.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local animal shelter in Charles’s memory, reflecting his love for animals and commitment to the community. Charles will be missed dearly but forever remembered for his warm spirit, caring nature, and the joy he brought to the lives of those who knew him.

Services and interment will be private.
