It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Claire L. (Lindner) Sayers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us on Friday February 6, 2026, at the age of 97. Claire was born on April 30, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Emma (Schlosser) and Paul Lindner and was a resident of Croydon for the past 30 years.
Claire was a proud operator in the communications industry, working for Bell Telephone and later Verizon, where her bright spirit and dedication to her work shone through. Outside of her career, Claire truly thrived in the warmth of her family's love. She had a passion for walking, always eager to explore the world around her, whether it be through a stroll in the park or simply enjoying nature's beauty.
Claire was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald F. Sayers. She is survived by her loving children, Linda Konschak (Edward), Paul Sayers (Joanne), and Donna Wilus (The late Jerry), who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Keith, and Adam, and her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Esme, and Jamison, who brought immense joy to her life. Claire was also preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Lindner, Raymond Lindner, Dorothy Large, Richard Lindner and Walter Lindner.
Services and interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
