Clara J. Mcnamee

Clara J. “Claire” McNamee, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, just days shy of her 82nd birthday. Born on January 21, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Vincent and Rose Canonaco, Claire brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She spent her life dedicated to her family and her work as an inspector at Super Pac, where her hard work and commitment were greatly valued.

Claire was known for her love of cooking and for creating warm, inviting meals that brought her family together. She cherished time spent with her children and their families, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life and the laughter shared around the dinner table. In her retirement, she embraced relaxation and the opportunity to spend even more time with loved ones, reveling in the stories of her children, Bruce McNamee (Sue), Mark McNamee, Renee McNamee, and Shawn McNamee (Andrea), as well as her 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and her siblings, Ralph Canonaco (Peg) and Vincent Canonaco (Connie). Claire was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hugh and her son, Brian.

Claire's graceful spirit and enduring love will be missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she lived a full life surrounded by love.

In honor of Claire's legacy, a funeral service will be held at Tomlinson Funeral Home on January 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a public viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

The family welcomes all who wish to celebrate Claire’s life and share in the love that she so generously offered throughout her years.
