In Loving Memory of Clare Joy Markee
November 11, 1946 – June 10, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Clare Joy Markee on June 10, 2025, as she was carried by our love, prayers and surrounded by God’s grace. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Thomas and Clare (née McEntee) Hill, Clare was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and homemaker whose warmth, kindness, and faith touched all who knew her.
Clare was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Markee. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maria Markee, and her son, John Markee, Jr. (Carmen). She was a devoted sister to Gail Leemon (Jim) and Thomas Hill (Michele), and a loving aunt to her nephew, Patrick Hill. Clare was also a caring sister-in-law to Pat and Davy Markee, Francis Markee, and the entire Markee family with numerous nieces and nephews. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Joseph Nieves-Markee (Caroline), Amanda and Joshua Markee, Collin and Camden Killian, and JT Tubera.
Clare’s home was a haven for family and friends alike—always offering a warm meal, a kind word, and a loving place to rest. She relished the simple joys of life: shopping, cooking, baking, and her favorite Hallmark and Gospel television programs. She found great peace and purpose as a devoted member of Calvary Full Gospel Church, where she built lasting friendships and strengthened her faith through worship and fellowship.
Her generous spirit, unwavering love, and deep devotion to her family and faith made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Clare lived a life that truly reflected the love of Christ, and we can only imagine her being welcomed with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Clare’s life during a viewing on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 676 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
As we grieve the loss of our beloved Clare, we take comfort in the beautiful memories we shared and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts. Memorial donations can be made to Calvary Full Gospel Church in Clare’s name.
