With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clifford Wesley Newton, Jr., (Butch) who left this world peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born on November 6, 1938, in Elkton, MD, to the late Clifford Sr. and Eva (nee Biddle), Clifford lived a life rich in love and experiences, leaving behind memories treasured by all who knew him.
Clifford dedicated much of his working life to serving as a manager at Sherwood Medical Supplies and Willson Safety Products. His hands-on knowledge and dedication to his craft spoke volumes about his commitment and work ethic.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Denise LePera, and son-in-law, Stephen LePera, as well as his devoted son, John Newton, and daughter-in-law, Sunshine Newton. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, John Tinari, Stephen LePera (Colby), Amanda Schaeffer (Matthew), Daniel LePera (Allyson), Baree Horner (Dakota), AJ Wolfe (Leo), and Liberty Newton, and his great-grandchildren, Carter, Jaxon, Charlie, Anna, Amelia, Stephen, Averey, Delaney, Tessa, Daniel, and Juliet. Other survivors include his siblings, Raymond Newton (Rosie), Nanci Purnell (Eddie), and Tammy Surber. Clifford was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle whose warmth and kindness will forever be remembered by his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane, baby daughter Vanessa and his beloved daughter, Darlene Tinari, and his sister, Marjorie Crouse.
Beyond his professional life, Clifford enjoyed a variety of leisure activities that brought him joy. He had a passion for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces with his own hands. A friendly spirit, he loved to gather with friends and family to play cards, bowl, and enjoy games of pool and darts. Each laugh shared and story told will echo in the hearts of those lucky enough to have spent time with him.
Donations in his memory can be made to The Jennie Foundation, www.thejenniefoundation.org. Jennifer LePera, who lost her battle to cancer at the tender age of 18, was near and dear to Clifford’s heart and he was a generous and enthusiastic supporter of her foundation.
A funeral service to honor Clifford's life will be held on January 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Tomlinson Funeral Home, Bensalem, PA, with a public viewing preceding the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
Clifford W. Newton, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love and the cherished memories of a life well-lived. May he rest in peace.
