Daniel F. Barats, Sr.

Daniel F. Barats Sr., age 78 of Bensalem passed away Thursday October 8, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Phila. Dan was a lifelong resident of the Andalusia section of Bensalem. He was employed as a truck driver with Cherry’s Scaffolding for 20+ years. Dan enjoyed hunting, boating and spending time up the mountains. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Bauer-Hartman-Marszalek Post #9198 in Andalusia. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 30 years, Dawn Walker, his children; Daniel F. Barats Jr. (Karenlyn), John McCafferty (Erin), Loretta Barats, and step-son Michael Walker (Shannon). Brother of Michael Barats, Kenneth Barats, Eleanor Heil, Agnes Hornung, and Mary Jayne Gallagher. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by 5 brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday eve from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 followed by his service at 8:30pm. Interment Friday 1:30 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
