Daniel Patrick Carr

Daniel Patrick Carr of Trevose, passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on July 24, 1944, in Philadelphia to the late Rita (Rosney) and Daniel W. Carr. Daniel was a proud US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War with the US Army Company A, 2nd Battalion, (Airmoble), 5th Calvary. Having grown up in Philadelphia, Daniel developed a deep love for his city and its people. He pursued his education with great determination, eventually earning a bachelor’s degree from Lasalle University. Daniel channeled his passion and academic achievements into a fulfilling career as a police officer, serving the Philadelphia Police Department with unwavering commitment and professionalism.

Throughout his life, Daniel was known as a skilled athlete. He excelled not only in his role as a police officer but also in various sports. Daniel especially enjoyed playing softball and flag football with his colleagues from the Philadelphia Police Department. During his time at LaSalle University, he captained the basketball team, showcasing his leadership skills both on and off the court. Daniel also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his surviving sisters, Donna Wikberg (John) and Kathleen Showers (John); His best friend, Robert “Bob” Gallagher and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services and interment will be private.
