David J. Vile

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David J. Vile, Sr., who left this world on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Jean and Samuel Vile and was a lifelong resident of Croydon.

David dedicated many years of his life to the transportation industry, working as a truck driver for Harrison Trucking and various other companies. His passion for the open road was matched only by his love for his family and friends. Always the life of the party, he could be found enjoying a game of pool and cheering on his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. In his youth, he also had a thrilling love for riding his Triumph motorcycle, embodying the spirit of adventure.

David will be dearly missed by his sons, Samuel D. Vile (Fiancé Amber Schum), David J. Vile, Jr (Shari), and Andrew D. Vile, and his sister, Barbara Ewing (Dennis). He was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: David III, Callie, Lucille, and Jackson, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. David was also preceded in death by his son, Ryan D. Vile.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10 to 12 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 12 PM. Interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
