It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah Dale Lafferty, a beloved sister and friend, who left us peacefully on April 17, 2026, at the age of 70. Deborah was born on July 20, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Michael and Dorothy Marion (nee Thomas) Wladyka, and she spent her life brightening the days of those around her with her warm spirit and infectious laughter.
Deborah was a dedicated agent representative at Bankers Life, where her colleagues admired her commitment and professionalism. Her love for life extended beyond her career; she was an active member of the American Legion and the VFW, where she cherished her time spent playing pool and connecting with friends.
A true enthusiast of life's pleasures, Deborah had a passion for vacations in Florida, where she found joy in the warmth, the flip flops, and the swaying palm trees. Her heart danced to the rhythms of rock and roll, and she delighted in collecting football and NASCAR memorabilia. Whether she was cheering for her beloved Eagles and Phillies or embarking on adventurous cruises and sailing trips, Deborah embraced every moment with enthusiasm.
Deborah is survived by her loving sisters, Dorothy A. Gallagher (Francis), Geri Price, Cheryl L. Bernhardt (Markus), and her brother, Michael Wladyka (Carol), her life partner for the last nine years, David Hettle, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed beyond measure by all who knew her. Deborah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Spanky” Lafferty in 2015.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Deborah’s viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Wednesday, April 22nd from 6:00-8:00 PM and a second viewing on Thursday, April 23rd from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. The family asks that anyone attending, please wear purple, Deborah’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Deborah’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/.
In celebrating Deborah’s life, we remember her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for family and friends, and her passion for the simple joys of life. May she rest in eternal peace.
