Debra Jane Douglas

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Jane Douglas, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on October 19, 1951, in Babylon, New York, to the late Nils Eric and Mary (nee Salmon) Arvidsson, Debra lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many.

Residing in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, Debra dedicated her professional life to the legal field as a paralegal at Rovner Law, where her passion and commitment made a lasting impact. She held an Associate’s Degree, which reflected her love for learning and her relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Debra was a nurturing mother to her daughter, Cynthia Davis (Nick), and her son, Matthew McConnell (Jennifer). She derived immense joy from her role as a grandmother to Isabella, Joshua, Aiden, Nicholas, Frankie, Calleigh, and Thomas, cultivating a legacy of love and support for her family. She is also survived by her sister, Karin and her love Dennis Douglas along with a host of friends who will remember her kind spirit and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Eric.

A woman of deep faith, Debra was very active with the Christian Life Center and previously, Holmesburg Baptist Church, where she formed cherished friendships and made valuable contributions to her community.

Services and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christian Life Center in Debra's memory, so her legacy of compassion and community support may continue.

Debra Jane Douglas will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
