Dolores Kownacki

Dolores “Dolly” Kownacki, of Philadelphia passed away on May 6th. She was 95 years old. Dolly worked as a secretary and switch board operator for Consolidated and then Apex for over 45 years. She was the Matriarch of the Kownacki family, and she loved spending time with her family and planning parties, especially the family Christmas Party, which was held at Chateau Caterers for many years. Dolly also enjoyed reading, gardening, and shopping at Boscov’s followed by lunch at the Dining Car. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Michael Holubec, Patricia White, Lisa Overs, Robert Kownacki, Debbie Flanagan, and Michelle Wyckoff, as well as her great nieces: Jennifer and Katie, her great great grand niece, Elizabeth, her sister-in-law, Julia, and her many extended family and friends. Her Viewing will be held at St, Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 5560 Harbison Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa 19124 on Friday, May 12th from 10;00-11:00 AM followed by her Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Dominic’s Cemetery. The family would like to ask that any flower donations be her favorite color, Red.
