Doris C Wallish

Doris C. Wallish, age 92, of Bensalem died Saturday September 28th, 2024 at Vitas Hospice Care Philadelphia. Born in Shamokin, Pa., she was a resident of Bensalem for 63 years. Doris attended Coal Township high school, graduating in 1950. She worked at AT&T until 1988 and enjoyed 36 years of retirement. She was also a member of American Legion Unit 336 in North Fort Meyers, Florida.

Doris, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (nee McCormick) Rubendall, was married to her beloved husband George L. Wallish for 55 years. She is survived by her son George Michael Wallish and his wife Deborah of Millen, Ga; and her daughter Debby Yulich and her husband Dr. Michael Yulich of Bensalem, PA. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter and best friend, Lexy Merendino, her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Lara Jane of Kendall Park, NJ. In addition, Doris is survived by two brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Doris spent 28 happy Winters in the Florida Keys with her husband George, and 48 summers at Sea Pirate Campground in West Creek NJ where she found her happy place. The owners, staff, and her friends at the campground helped her so much after Dad died. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, often staying up late into the night watching her beloved teams. She was also a voracious reader.

A memorial luncheon will take place at a later date.
