Dorothy Schreiber

Dorothy E. Schreiber (nee) Hughes of Trevose formerly of Southampton, NJ died on Friday evening, August 7, 2015 at Symphony Manor, Feasterville, PA. She was 93 years old. Dorothy was born in Bensalem (Cornwells Heights) and graduated from Bensalem High School, Wife and long time sweetheart of Carl H whom she was married to for 72 years. She was a homemaker who was a fantastic cook and baker. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Carol E.Schreiber, Janet E. Duncan (Larry), Carl W. Schreiber (Marsha) and Nora J. Mc Donough (Robert). Dorothy was grandmother of Amy, Sarah, Emily, Jill, Rachel, Robert, Morgan and Bridget, in addition to nine great-grandchildren. She is the sister of John Hughes and Shirley Souder and predeceased by 5 brothers: Clayton, Edward, Harry, William and Richard who in addition to John affectionately called her “Sister”. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Symphony Manor for the wonderful care that was given to their mother. Dorothy and her late husband, Carl H. Schreiber, who died on January 5, 2013, will have a private service and interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
