Dr. Bartholomew Butta

Dr. Bart A Butta, age 72 of Yardley passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Einstein Hosp., in Phila. Born in April 1943 to the late Thomas and Eleanor Butta in Brooklyn, NY. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Pace University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), class of 1970. Dr. Butta did his internship at DVMC and began his practice in Levittown. He sold his practice in 1995 and worked for Avallone Associates in Phila. He served for many years as the V.P. on the Board of Directors at Delaware Valley Medical Center. In 1977 he married the love of his life and best friend, Liz. He was the loving father of George Shollar (Debbie), Frank Butta (Yvonne), John Butta (Fiance Sara), Elizabeth Hellings (Tom) and Amy Wisener (Eric). Brother of Rosemary Isola (Tony) and Amy Buzzo. He was the proud and beloved Pop-Pop of 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday June 30, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020. His funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Church 999 Reading Ave, Yardley, PA 19067 where friends may also call from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Interment private. Memorial contribution in his memory may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
