Edward D. Kain

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward D. Kain, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and a proud Army veteran, who left us peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 97. Edward was born on October 20, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Aloysius and Mary (nee Moyles) Kain and spent his later years in Bensalem, PA. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and a deep commitment to his family and friends.

Edward's career as a maintenance mechanic at Keebler’s was marked by his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering work ethic. He took great pride in caring for his home, creating a warm and welcoming environment for his loved ones. He especially loved hosting the family’s annual Easter gathering with his wife, Lucille for many years.

As a veteran of the Army, Edward served our country with honor during World War II, achieving the rank of TEC 5 before being discharged on January 14, 1948. His service instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that echoed throughout his life.

Edward was a passionate sports fan, particularly devoted to baseball and a lifelong supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies. He cherished spending time out with friends and family, often found taking leisurely walks at the Neshaminy Mall, sharing laughter with friends over coffee (and hot chocolate) at Barnes and Noble. Edward spent many summers at the Jersey Shore—strolling the boardwalk and people-watching, taking his boat out on the bay, and soaking in the joy of seeing his grandchildren play in the ocean. In his later years he spent time in Brigantine, he loved sitting on the deck watching the boats.

He leaves behind his loving daughters, Lucille Luszczak (the late Peter) and Eileen Siegel (Kevin). Edward was a devoted grandfather to Kiri Mladjen (Lew), Dylan Kain Siegel, and Tyler Alec Siegel, and a delighted great-grandfather to Luka Mladjen, as well as a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Lucille C. (nee McDonald) Kain and his nine siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edward's visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, February 20th from 12:00-1:00 PM, followed by his memorial service at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at precisely 2:30 PM. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the love and support they have received during this time.

He will be deeply missed but will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Edward's kind spirit, unwavering dedication to family, and love for life will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
