It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Charles White Jr., a beloved father, dedicated firefighter, and proud Marine, who departed this life peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on
July 20, 1954, to the late Edward and Dolores (Bescript) White in Philadelphia, PA, Edward lived a life filled with service, passion, and love for his family and community.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Edward enlisted on November 16, 1973, and served his country honorably until his discharge on November 14, 1975, reaching the rank of Private. His service shaped his strong character and instilled in him a deep sense of duty.
After serving in the Marine Corps, Edward devoted his life to the Philadelphia Fire Department, where he was known for his bravery and unwavering commitment to the safety of others. His legacy as a firefighter exemplified the courage and compassion that defined him both on and off the job.
Edward is survived by his beloved son, Edward White, as well as his siblings, Nancy, Sharon, Marianne, Joyce, and Dolores.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Wednesday, June 25 th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by his Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown Pa 18940 on Thursday, June 26 th at precisely 9:00 AM. Anyone attending the interment should arrive no later than 8:45 AM.
As we celebrate Edward Charles White Jr.’s life, let us remember the joy he brought to each of us and the indomitable spirit he shared with the world. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
