Edwin Wheat

Edwin Wheat of Eddington, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in the home he built. He was 90 years old. Edwin was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident of Eddington for the last 61 years. Edwin was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He was also a retired machinist from The Frankford Arsenal. He loved traveling and collecting vinyl records, but his greatest love and joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Edwin was a very kind and caring person who will be missed by many. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Tillie (Socki) Wheat. He is also survived by his 2 loving children Edwin and his wife Claire, and Karen Ferich and her husband Jeff; 6 grandchildren Claire Elise, Edwin (Whitney), John (Kristen), Robert, Andrew and Stephen; and 4 great grandchildren Jeremiah, Kyler, Skylar and Jacob. Service and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America, 5915 Emilie Rd, Levittown, PA 19057.
