Eileen T. Fitzgerald

Eileen T. “Cookie” Fitzgerald, passed away Monday, August 1, 2023. She was 78 years old. Born in Philadelphia, to the late Mary (Hallinan) and Francis Fitzgerald and was formerly of Gibsonia, PA and Ambler, PA. Eileen worked as a Phlebotomy Supervisor for Abington Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and watching crime documentaries. She was also very fond of animals. Eileen was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Eileen will be deeply missed by her 3 loving children: James Guckavan, Eileen Drury (John) and Kathleen Guckavan (Valerio). She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Whalen (Dennis); 10 grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially her lifelong best friend, Diane Kett. Eileen was preceded in death by her Beloved husband of 12 years, James N. Guckavan, her beloved son, Thomas O’Sullivan (Kara); Her beloved grandson, Mason Guckavan and her beloved brother, Michael Fitzgerald. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Friday, August 18, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Saint Christopher Catholic Church, 13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
