It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth J. Nidweski, age 93, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, on May 31, 2025. Born on July 26, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Harry and Sarah (nee Vasey) Schmidt, Elizabeth lived a life full of love and compassion, dedicating herself to her family and community.
Elizabeth was a devoted homemaker, known for her nurturing spirit and her role as a foster parent to many children over the years. Her home was a haven of comfort and warmth, where countless young lives were shaped and supported by her kindness. Elizabeth was also proud to serve as President of the Debora Heart and Lung Center of Bensalem, where her commitment to helping others flourished.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Eileen Cera and Elizabeth Jean Tolan, her 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and her cherished sister, Jane Lamania. Elizabeth’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her family and those whose lives she touched. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cera, her husband, Edward Nidweski, her son, Charles Cera Jr., her son, David Harry Cera, and her brother, Harry Schmidt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elizabeth’s viewing at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 801 W. State Street, Trenton, N.J., 08618 on Thursday, June 5th from 10:00-11:00 Am followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Elizabeth as a shining light in our lives, forever grateful for her love and the indelible impact she made on each of us.
