Francis J. Wilson

Francis “Frank” J. Wilson of Croydon passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. He was 67 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frances E. (Connelly) and George E. Wilson, Jr and was a resident of Croydon for the last 28 years.

For over three decades, Frank worked as a truck driver, eventually retiring with CTI Trucking. However, Frank's commitment to serving his community shone brightest during his 50 years at Union Fire Company, Station# 37, where he selflessly stepped into various roles, including Trustee, Fire Police Sergeant, and Past Assistant Chief. He was a committed member of the Bucks County Rescue Squad, embodying bravery as a rescue diver and paramedic.

Known for his generous spirit, Frank was always there for his family and friends, going above and beyond to offer a helping hand. His second home was at the firehouse, where he found joy in teaching fire safety and supporting his fellow firefighters. Yet, his most treasured moments were spent alongside his family, especially his grandson, Zachary, whom he adored beyond words.

Frank will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jean M. (Rudzinski) Wilson. He will also be deeply missed by his loving daughter, Jessica Wilson-Chiffens; His grandson Zachary and one granddaughter on the way, Luciana. Frank was the loving brother of Catherine Sheffield, Marie Kwiatkowski (Eugene), Theresa Amrik (Rudolph) and Regina Wilson and many countless loving family members and friends. Frank was also preceded in death by his brother, George E. Wilson, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, April 15, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, and again Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
