Frederick J. Morton

October 27, 1939 — September 29, 2023

Frederick J. Morton, also known as John, Fast Freddy, Big F, Fearsome and Creep, but to family, he was Poppo, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on October 27, 1939, in Philadelphia, to the late Frederic and Katherine Agnes (Gaffney) Morton and resided in Trevose, for the last 50 years.

John leaves behind a legacy of hard work and commitment as the owner and operator of Morton Electric for over four decades. John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann (Brostrom) Morton. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised a wonderful family. He was a devoted father to his three children, Anne Marie Morton (Michael Morpurgo), John R. Morton, and Michael A. Morton (Natalie), who brought immense joy to his heart. John took great pride in the accomplishments of his children and was a constant source of love and support in their lives. In addition to his children, John was blessed with three grandchildren: Paige Agster, Sophia Morton, and Oscar Morpurgo. He found immense joy in witnessing them grow and flourish, and he always made sure to shower them with love and affection.

Throughout his life, John held a passion for learning and was a skilled problem solver. Countless evenings were spent in his woodworking garage, crafting beautiful pieces alongside his wife. His mastery with tools and his unwavering determination allowed him to fix anything that required repair, often finding innovative solutions. John's enthusiasm for technology led him to embrace new gadgets, from the latest snowblower to the trendiest tractor.

In his leisure time, John embarked on adventures with his sons and bonus sons, exploring the open roads on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Trips across the country were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and cherished memories. John treasured his time in Glamis with the boys, but especially loved it when his daughter and his daughter in Law showed up. Each child had a special place in his heart. Him and his son John shared a love for fast cars and guns. He also enjoyed pretending he knew anything about sports so he could talk to his son Michael. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow. His daughter's modeling career brought him great pride, as he admired her world travels and professional successes.

John was known for his love of the Republican Party and was an advocate for its principles. He strongly urged everyone to exercise their right to vote Republican.

In his later years, John engaged in activities such as designer bag bingo, accompanied by his bonus daughters. He also found solace in fishing alongside his dear friend Victor.
