Gardner Scott Lykins

February 22, 1947 — May 12, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gardner Scott Lykins, a cherished musician, veteran, and loving family man who left us peacefully on May 12, 2025. Born on February 22, 1947, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Gardner and Ruth (nee Holbrook), Scott dedicated his life to his family and his passion for music, which deeply touched the lives of many.

Scott served honorably in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. His service to his country was a testament to his strong character and sense of duty. Following his military service, he pursued a career in the entertainment industry, where he shared his love for music with audiences and enriched the lives of those around him, traveling and performing internationally. After marriage, Scott began a new career as a Life Insurance Agent, licensed in 42 states, with New York Life, Metropolitan, Prudential, and finally retiring from Colonial Penn.

Scott was a devoted husband to Elise Haferl-Lykins and a loving father to Juliana Elise Lykins (Anthony Pastore, Jr.) and Elise Ruth Lykins. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Grant Scott Lykins and June Eva May Pastore. His family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Gardner is also survived by his sister, Janet Zeger, brother-in-law, Larry Zeger, daughter Lisa May and grand daughter Camille.

An avid lover of animals, fishing, and boating, Scott found peace and happiness in nature, where he created lasting memories with friends and family. His spirit will live on through the music he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he bestowed upon all.

Friends and family are invited to join us for Gardner Scott's visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Monday, May 19th from 4:00-5:00 PM followed by his memorial service at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
