George W. Johnson

George W. Johnson, III of Bensalem, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Boonton, NJ to the late Rose Marie (Pierce) and George W. Johnson, Jr and was a resident of Bensalem for 31 years.

George worked as a Stationary Engineer at Sarnoff, until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Nottingham Fire Department, Station# 65, where he also served as a Trustee. George had a zest for life and loved family trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, and Disney. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Penn State Football. George's interests extended to trains, riding his motorcycle, and loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandsons.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 31 years, Debi (Sponheimer). George is also survived by his two children: George W. Johnson, IV (Susan) and Samantha Rodriguez (Edgar); and his two grandsons, Matthew, and Leo; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 9 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 22207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11 AM.
