George Dennis Rakowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Dennis Rakowski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who left us peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 77. George was born on January 4, 1948, to the late Theodore and Marion (nee Meyers), in Philadelphia, PA, and spent much of his life in Bensalem, PA, where he created lasting memories with his family and friends.

George was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the Army, achieving the rank of Specialist 4 (T). After his service, he dedicated his career to the manufacturing sector as a chemical operator with Rohm

and Haas, where he was respected for his hard work and dedication.

Above all, George cherished his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Donna (nee Laird); daughter, Aimee Huggard (Pat), son, Andrew Rakowski (Christine), brother, Ted Rakowski (Linda) and his adored grandchildren: Devon Harran (Miranda), Logan Rakowski, and Makenzie Huggard. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Elaine (nee McConnell), his son, George D. Rakowski Jr., his granddaughter, Samantha Huggard, and his Daughter in Law Beth Rakowski.

George found immense joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and supporting their dreams. An avid sports fan, he rooted for the Phillies and the Eagles, often sharing laughs and lively debates with his family. George had a passion for golf and enjoyed visiting the casino and racetrack, as well as spending time in his garden, nurturing his love for nature.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend George’s visitation at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, August 29th, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by his Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

As we remember George, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, laughter, and love for family.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
