George F. Traber of Bensalem passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. George enjoyed season work at his beloved Bensalem Country Club. He recently came out of retirement and returned to part time hours at his long-term employer, SDA Mechanical. George always looked forward to playing golf with Terry, John, Mike, Bob, Was and just about anyone else for that matter. He was a long-time member of Penn Warner Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his friend Dave and tossing in a fishing line, no matter what the weather. George was looking forward to rooting on his son Matt and his college teammates at their lacrosse games this year. Thanks to his friend Ken, he planned to record all the action. George enjoyed watching all of the Philly sports teams but he especially liked watching the Eagles and spending time with his long-time friend, Mark. George was a loving husband to Mary and a proud and loving father to Matthew. George was the son of George Traber and Teresa (Armstrong) Traber. He was the loving brother of Maureen Cook and Marcella Ashton. George was a devoted and loving brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Above everything else, George loved to make people laugh. His absence will leave an ache in so many hearts, but his memory will always bring a smile to so many faces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday eve from 6 to 8 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, and again Saturday from 10 to 11 AM, followed by his service at 11 AM. Interment Private. He will always be loved and missed.
