Gerald Lavine

Gerald J. Lavine of Philadelphia passed away peacefully Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Penn Medicine Rittenhouse, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gerald was a resident of South Philadelphia for the last 28 years. He worked as a recruiter for various IT companies for over 10 years. Gerald enjoyed golfing and reading. He was also an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan but his greatest love and joy was spending time with his family. Gerald will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Patricia “Pat” A. (Coonan). He is also survived by his 4 loving children: Catharine Edelman (Len), James Lavine (Jane), Thomas Lavine (Mary) and Christopher Lavine (Angela); and 6 grandchildren: Hannah, Ian, Marley, Madison, Briana and Alex. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Tuesday from 9:30 to 10 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 923 Christian St., Philadelphia, PA 19147, followed by his Memorial Mass at 10 AM.
