With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Clay Sauter, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and member of the Bensalem community. Born in Bristol, PA on December 19, 1952, Gerald passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 71.
Throughout his life, Gerald was known for his dedication to his work as a Compactor Repairman for Waste Management for over 20 years. His commitment to his profession and his community was truly commendable. Gerald's passion for helping others extended beyond his work, as evidenced by his many years of service as a member of the Cornwell’s Fire Company Station 16.
Gerald found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing trips to the mountains and visits to Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he loved to spend time at the casinos. His kind and compassionate nature endeared him to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by his spouse of 52 years, Barbara Sauter (nee Pasqualone), his brothers Ronald (Susan), Brian, and Joel Sauter, sister Joyce Spano, and his grandchildren Anthony, Jerry III, Alexis, Marissa, and Skylar, his best friend of over 40 years, Larry Bailey and all who had the privilege of calling him a friend. Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Sauter Jr., and his siblings, David Sauter, Robert Sauter, and Randy Sauter.
Funeral services to honor Gerald's life will be held at Tomlinson Funeral Home on April 15, 2024. A public viewing will take place at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
