Gerry R. Capie

Gerald R. Capie, Jr., lovingly known as Gerry, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 45. Born in Abington, PA, and was a lifelong resident of Bensalem.

Gerry was a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School, Class of 1997. Following his passion for electricity, he pursued a career as an electrical apprentice in the electrical industry.

Outside of his professional life, Gerry had a deep love for movies, particularly those from the 80s and 90s. He could often be found engrossed in a classic film, with Miami Vice topping his list of favorites. Additionally, he had an insatiable curiosity about outer space, eagerly devouring knowledge about astronauts and space shuttles.

In his teens & early twenties, he loved being part of two vibrant musical communities: Archbishop Ryan's Marching Band, Class of 1997 & Uptown Stringband, where he showcased his musical talents on the saxophone.

Gerry will be fondly remembered for his straight face one liners & his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to family & friends. His compassion & selflessness touched the lives of many, leaving lasting impressions on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gerry is survived by his dear parents, Gerald “Jerry” R. Capie, Sr and Karen (Snyder) Capie. He is also survived by his sister Joelle Myers (Scott); his cherished niece Rachel Myers and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stephanie & Walter Snyder & Helen & Fred Capie & his beloved Godparents, Mike Capie & Donna Snyder Pickar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.
