Gloria Janice Quann Wood (née Garvey) died peacefully in her home on June 21, 2021 in Sebring, FL. She was 84. She was born on March 30, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, to James Cyril Garvey and Margaretta White Garvey. She was the loving wife of John “Jack” Patrick Quann Sr. for 35 years until his passing in 1995. Gloria and her family settled in Bensalem, PA, and were parishioners at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, where Gloria sang in the choir for many years. She was passionate about showing dogs and was active in the Irish Setter Association; Gloria owned and operated a dog grooming salon in Bensalem, PA. She enjoyed singing and was known for her beautiful cake decorations, paintings and ceramics. After retirement, she married Wilbur Wood and together they moved to Sebring, FL. Gloria is survived by her husband, Wilbur; her children John Patrick Quann Jr. (Karen), Karen Nealon (Doug), and Christopher Quann; Step-son, Donald Wood (Kimberly), grandchildren Thomas Nealon (Suzi), Kelly Bianucci (Den), Shawn Nealon, Kristen Quann, and Amber Nealon (Joseph); and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband John Patrick Quann Sr.; her parents James Cyril and Margaretta Garvey; and her siblings Joyce Garvey, Margaretta (Peggy) Sadler, Dolores Harmer Stewart, Robert Garvey and James C. Garvey Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday 9:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by her Mass at 11:00 am. Rite of committal will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
