Helen K Young

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen K. Young, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on June 15, 2026, just days shy of her 95th birthday. Helen was born on June 21, 1931, to the late Clayton Edward and Henrietta (nee Snively) Knecht, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and resided in Bensalem for many years. She dedicated her life to serving others as a compassionate Home Health Aide at Ken Crest Services, where her gentle spirit and caring nature made a lasting impact on those she cared for.

Helen was a proud member of the Eddington Presbyterian Church, where she nurtured her faith, finding community and joy among her fellow congregants. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Lauren Young (fiancé David Napoli) and Allison Young Howie (William).

As a grandmother, Helen was a guiding light in the lives of her grandchildren: Christine, Carmela, Felix, Carley, Sarah, Zackary, and Gabriella, each of whom will carry her love and wisdom with them. Helen was also a proud great-grandmother to John and Luke, with another great grandchild on the way, a new little light that will remind them of her enduring legacy. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Young, and her brother, Robert Edward Knecht.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen’s visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, July 3rd from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Helen’s memory consider making a donation to St. Judes at www.stjude.org.

Helen K. Young will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and love. May she rest in peace.
