Howard Saltmer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard “Bud” Saltmer, age 62, who peacefully left us on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Bud was born on November 30, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Alberta (Petrone) and the late Howard Saltmer.

Bud was a dedicated roofer of 40 years proudly serving his trade with Local 30 for the past 10 years. With a strong work ethic he was a beloved fixture in his profession, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family.

Those who knew Bud will remember him for his love of the outdoors, especially his passion for fishing, feeding the birds, and visiting the beach. He found joy in the simplicity of life, cutting his grass and rooting for the Eagles and Phillies. Bud will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Bud is survived by his loving spouse, Amy Saltmer; his devoted mother, Alberta Saltmer; his cherished son, Christopher Saltmer; his beloved daughter, Carly Madrigale (Dan); and his dear sisters, Dawn Riehs (the late Andrew) and Stacy Serviss (Ken). Their hearts grieve his absence, but they take comfort in the many memories they shared.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, on November 4, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by his service at 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
